Arabians Ltd. Launches Embryo Transfer Program
It has been a great year for Arabians Ltd. farm and breeding manager Stephane Robillard, and for our Mare Care Division! We are thrilled to announce that our first season to offer embryo transfers on farm produced 13 pregnancies. Embryo transfer utilizes a surrogate mare to carry a fertilized egg to full term.
Last fall Stephane oversaw the construction of his Embryo Transfer lab. The first embryos he flushed were sent to Weatherford Equine Medical Center, a well-known embryo transfer facility in Weatherford, Texas. After studying with Dr. Justin Ritthaler there, Stephane began to use our own young mares as recipients. It was not long before Stephane had mastered this intricate process, which requires a combination of careful science and an expertise in the art of equine breeding. Stephane has developed both over a highly successful career as a breeding manager in Canada and at Arabians Ltd., and his wife Mellisa has become an integral part of the process. Houston All Arabian Show Results!
On Friday, January 15th, Egyptian Arabians from the Arabians Ltd. show string made us proud at the 2010 Houston All Arabian Show!
The show was concurrent, meaning that there were two judges and shows going on at the same time, causing two placings for each horse.

Sweeps at Houston All Arabian Show!
Arabians Ltd. stallions and straight Egyptian Arabian bloodlines were well-represented at the January 2009 Houston All Arabian Horse Show! Ken and Jennifer Porter showed their two Egyptian Arabian fillies to a total of SEVENTEEN ribbons!

Success at NTAHC Shootout Arabian Horse Show!
At this weekend’s 2008 NTAHC Shootout Arabian horse show in Glen Rose, Texas, Arabians Ltd. showed 4 Egyptian Arabian client horses to 6 ribbons!
Leading the sweep was the knockout 2-year-old Egyptian Arabian filly KBF Starlight, above (Thee Desperado x MC Alexsis), owned by Carolyn Busch and bred by Karl and Jacki Breckon. Shawn Crews showed her to the Junior Champion Filly and Reserve Grand Champion Mare titles! With a pedigree of true straight Egyptian Arabian royalty, it’s no surprise!
