Arabians Ltd. Launches Embryo Transfer Program
It has been a great year for Arabians Ltd. farm and breeding manager Stephane Robillard, and for our Mare Care Division! We are thrilled to announce that our first season to offer embryo transfers on farm produced 13 pregnancies. Embryo transfer utilizes a surrogate mare to carry a fertilized egg to full term.
Last fall Stephane oversaw the construction of his Embryo Transfer lab. The first embryos he flushed were sent to Weatherford Equine Medical Center, a well-known embryo transfer facility in Weatherford, Texas. After studying with Dr. Justin Ritthaler there, Stephane began to use our own young mares as recipients. It was not long before Stephane had mastered this intricate process, which requires a combination of careful science and an expertise in the art of equine breeding. Stephane has developed both over a highly successful career as a breeding manager in Canada and at Arabians Ltd., and his wife Mellisa has become an integral part of the process. News from The Sequel RCA Son in Cairo!
Thee Epitome RCA, The Sequel RCA x Imdala RCA, at home in Cairo
Egyptian Event Champion Thee Epitome RCA is now a breeding stallion in Egypt! The beautiful 3-year-old, owned by Mr. Moustafa Masry of Cairo, Egypt, is expecting his first foal crop at the end of the year.
Last fall Thee Epitome made an exciting journey overseas, even taking in some of the sights on the streets of downtown Cairo en route to his new home. His pedigree and beauty should combine to produce beautiful foals and we are pleased that he’s found such a great home with Mr. Masry in the land of his ancestors.
Houston All Arabian Show Results!
On Friday, January 15th, Egyptian Arabians from the Arabians Ltd. show string made us proud at the 2010 Houston All Arabian Show!
The show was concurrent, meaning that there were two judges and shows going on at the same time, causing two placings for each horse.

The Sequel RCA breaks Egyptian Event record!
Our young sire The Sequel RCA continues his rise to follow in his famous father’s impressive hoofprints. Every year at the Egyptian Event, the Egyptian Breeders Challenge (EBC) auction offers breeders the chance to bid on breedings from their favorite stallions. The resulting foals from these breedings are eligible to compete as yearlings in an exclusive cash prize class! At the 2008 Egyptian Event, The Sequel RCA shone as his EBC breeding was sold for the highest price at the 2008 auction!

Arabians Ltd. Shines At Lone Star Classic Arabian Horse Show
At the Lone Star Classic Arabian Horse Show in early April, Arabians Ltd. showed 2 horses and brought home 2 championships! Arabians Ltd. junior sire The Sequel RCA (Thee Desperado x La Marsala) was Champion Stallion, and 2-year-old filly KBF Starlight (left) (Thee Desperado x MC Alexsis) earned a Champion Mare ribbon for owner Carolyn Busch. Starlight will show at the Egyptian Event this year, and Sequel is welcoming some gorgeous babies this foaling season!
Thee Desperado son exported to Saudi Arabia
Congratulations to Naem Al Jahaini and the King Abdul Aziz Arabian Horse Center of Saudi Arabia on the recent purchase and exportation of The Sequel RCA‘s handsome brother MS Marsali (Thee Desperado x La Marsala). Marsali, bred by Tom and Martha Salome, is a younger full brother to our Egyptian Event Reserve Supreme Champion Stallion and up-and-coming sire The Sequel RCA.
