It has been a great year for Arabians Ltd. farm and breeding manager Stephane Robillard, and for our Mare Care Division! We are thrilled to announce that our first season to offer embryo transfers on farm produced 13 pregnancies. Embryo transfer utilizes a surrogate mare to carry a fertilized egg to full term.

Last fall Stephane oversaw the construction of his Embryo Transfer lab. The first embryos he flushed were sent to Weatherford Equine Medical Center, a well-known embryo transfer facility in Weatherford, Texas. After studying with Dr. Justin Ritthaler there, Stephane began to use our own young mares as recipients. It was not long before Stephane had mastered this intricate process, which requires a combination of careful science and an expertise in the art of equine breeding. Stephane has developed both over a highly successful career as a breeding manager in Canada and at Arabians Ltd., and his wife Mellisa has become an integral part of the process. Arabians Ltd. is happy to give an update on a small group of the horses we’ve exported to Egypt.

Ahmad Amer’s Al Kahira Arabians brought Bellagio RCA‘s little brother, Mirajh RCA, to Egypt shortly after his Egyptian Event EBC Championship win. In Egypt, he won Reserve Champion Colt at the El Zahraa National Show AND Junior Champion Colt at the Egyptian Nationals! As a sire, he been producing one champion after another!

Oruba Alrabie RCA, Reserve Champion Mare, 2010 Mason Dixon Classic

Congratulations to the champion filly Oruba Alrabie RCA (Bellagio RCA x Bint Aliashahm) on another victory! The 2-year-old filly won Reserve Champion Mare at the 2010 Mason Dixon Classic in Quentin, PA for her owner Walid Rabi!

Oruba Alrabie RCA was also the 2010 Egyptian Event EBC Champion Filly, carrying on her sire’s legacy. Bellagio RCA was himself an Egyptian Event EBC Champion Colt!

Arabians Ltd. wishes Mr. Rabi continued success with this beautiful Egyptian Arabian filly!

Oruba Alrabie RCA, 2009 EBC Champion Filly

Following in his father Alixir‘s legacy, Bellagio RCA has sired his first EBC Champion! Bellagio RCA was the 2004 Egyptian Breeders Challenge Champion Colt himself, and now he is proving his prepotency as a sire with the crowning of the 2009 EBC Champion Filly, Oruba Alrabie RCA (x Bint Aliashahm). Alixir, record-setting EBC Champion sire

Our popular stallion Alixir has set an Egyptian Event record! In 2009, Alixir became the sire of his FOURTH Egyptian Breeders Challenge Champion yearling. No other stallion has ever sired as many winners! Since 2004, three Alixir colts and one filly have been crowned EBC Champions at the annual Egyptian Event.
