1995 Bay Mare

My Shooting Star lived up her to her name as a legend that sometimes makes an appearance in reality. A daughter of Thee Desperado and of an Alidaar daughter (Alidaar was a full brother to Ruminaja Ali), she was bred for greatness and Judy purchased her when she was young. Since she began having babies, My Shooting Star has delivered on all of her promise with amazing consistency.

Her temperament was sweet and kind, and as a mother, she was quiet and calm–the best kind of broodmare. Though she was never shown, My Shooting Star was one of the most valuable mares of the Arabians Ltd. collection, and given her competition, that’s quite an accomplishment. She garnered this value by producing babies of exceptional quality when bred to different stallions, proving how much she adds to the cross. Judy adored her as one of her favorites, and breeders worldwide validated her ability as a broodmare by purchasing her foals, showing them to many ribbons, and cherishing them once they were home.

II Di IV, Egyptian Event Reserve Supreme Champion Mare

II Di IV, Shooting Star’s 2001 filly by Thee Asil, exhibits her mother’s gentleness and has lovely movement. In 2004, she won the Egyptian Event’s 3 Year Old World Class Mares class and was named Reserve Supreme Champion Mare! In 2007, she returned to the show ring to claim the Egyptian Event’s Championship among 6 to 9 Year Old World Class Mares.

 IV Ever Sinan, Mishaal HP x II Di IV out of My Shooting Star

Her 2008 foal by Mishaal HP, IV Ever Sinan, earned the Breeders’ Excellence Award at the 2009 Egyptian Event, was the RESERVE JUNIOR CHAMPION COLT at the 2010 Egyptian event and was exported to Egypt!

Natural Mystik, II Di IV’s full younger sister, followed in her footsteps by being crowned champion of 3 Year Old World Class Mares at the 2007 Egyptian Event, and was also named Reserve Champion in the Amateur Halter Mares with her Novice Handler and owner! Natural Mystik won several ribbons at the 2009 Egyptian Event, too!

Saniyyah RCA, exported to Israel

My Shooting Star‘s 2005 filly was Saniyyah RCA, her first foal by imported German Egyptian Arabian stallion Mishaal HP. This lovely grey filly was exported to Israel and soon crowned Junior Champion filly at the Israeli Egyptian Event, then named Israeli National Champion Filly a mere two weeks later!

Saniyyah is proudly owned by Ariela Arabians, and in 2010, she gave them her first foal, Safiyyah AA, an impressive grey filly by Laheeb!

My Shooting Star‘s last foal was Total Eclipse RCA, a 2008 colt by Mishaal HP–that makes him a full sibling to Saniyyah RCA!
