In Memory: Legendary Sire The Minstril

The Minstril, 1984-2010

Arabians Ltd. fondly remembers former herd sire The Minstril (Ruminaja Ali x *Bahila), who passed away peacefully this weekend at his retirement home, Paradise Arabians. Paradise did an outstanding job of caring for the 26-year-old stallion in his retirement, and he was loved by all who knew him there. His proud presence is already missed by his former groom Shawn Crews, Arabians Ltd. owner Judy Sirbasku, and The Minstril’s breeders and former owners David and Marion Gardner, who wish to thank Paradise owners Gary and Wanda Kenworthy for their kind, respectful treatment of the horse they all loved so well. His loss will be felt by many in the straight Egyptian and Arabian community at large, for his influence as a sire was international and cannot be overestimated.

We feel proud to be entrusted with his most famous son, Thee Desperado, many of his most beautiful daughters, and through a legacy that keeps him with us every day, in 6 generations and counting of his descendants.
