Fall Arabians Ltd. Client Seminar A Success!

On September 21st and 22nd, Arabians Ltd. held its annual Training and Conditioning Seminar in beautiful fall weather. Continuing our celebration of 30 years in the straight Egyptian Arabian business, many members of the Arabians Ltd. family gathered at our central Texas farm to reminisce, learn, and dream about the future.

With special guest speakers including world-famous Arabian horse trainers Robin Hopkinson and Greg Knowles, amateurs had the chance to learn techniques of showing from the best. They made the weekend a learning and entertaining experience by sharing their knowledge in a straight forward and humorous way. Greg’s show ring tips were helpful and he did a wonderful job of describing the views of judges. He picked the winners and then let them know what made the difference in his eyes.

A confirmation clinic added knowledge about how to size up a horse like the judges do, too.

After getting individualized lessons from Robin on Saturday, our largest group of amateurs ever had the chance to put their new knowledge to the test on Sunday, with the annual Arabians Ltd. Amateur Horse Show! Amateurs had the chance to compete against others with similar experience, and to present some of the most beautiful mares and fillies in the world to the judge. What a treat to be able to show US National Top Ten mares and Egyptian Event champions!

Linda White, Senior Writer for Arabian Horse Times magazine, spent the weekend with us, gathering information for an upcoming story about Arabians Ltd. and its commitment to client education.

We also hosted a horse judging team from Texas A&M. These ladies were practicing their judging skills in preparation for their trip to the 2008 US Nationals, where they will compete to see how closely they can score the horses to the judges marks. Good luck, ladies!

Everyone had plenty of chances to interact up close with the beautiful Egyptian Arabians that grace our farm. One of the cutest parts of the weekend was the weanling “kindergarten graduation,” where many of our 2008 babies made their “show ring” debuts!

As Jim and Judy look back on 30 wonderful years, they are also planning for the future. Arabians Ltd. continues to strive for excellence in every way, and we invite you to join us as we move forward in this exciting journey with our Egyptian Arabians.
