Al Aneed LDA (Alixir x Illa Magidaa LDA by Thee Desperado)

Last week, Al Aneed LDA (Alixir x Illa Magidaa LDA by Thee Desperado) was crowned Gold Champion Stallion at the 2012 West Coast Cup International B Show in Belgium. To top it off, this was his very first show! He was led to his win by Frank Sponle.

This gorgeous stallion was bred by Dan & Louise DeRusseau and is owned by Nayla Hayek of Switzerland. We will look for him to continue to excel in the show ring throughout the 2012 season!

Omnia LNJ (Mishaal HP x Bellareena El Masr)

Joining the Linjawi Arabians Texas Division’s remarkable group of straight Egyptians is the filly that has been the “talk of the town,” Omnia LNJ, bred by Inga Applequist.

Omnia LNJ and her mother just arrived in Texas. For such a little one, she made a great trip from California. Omnia is simply an enchanting filly and no doubt will be groomed to contend for the Egyptian Event Junior Championship in 2013. Thank you to Osman and Yousef for the great pleasure of placing this filly with us, and to Inga for breeding her and sending Bellareena all the way to Texas so we could have the filly join us and the rest of the Linjawis’ precious Egyptian mares and fillies.

We had a wonderful time in Magnolia, Texas, celebrating the Egyptian Arabian with our affiliate farm Lone Star Arabians and a fantastic group of people! Highlights of the day were plentiful; see below!

2012 Filly born via on-farm embryo transfer

Arabians Ltd. is happy to announce that we have successfully completed our first embryo transfer of 2012!

We are expecting a January 2013 foal out of Maalis Rebecah (The Elixir x Maali RCA) and by Mishaal HP. Maalis Rebecah is one of only 2 daughters of the retired Ruminaja Ali daughter Maali RCA in our herd. This rare and valuable blood is integral to the future of our breeding program so we are especially anticipating this foal.

Our Farm & Breeding Manager Stephane Robillard has made our dream of on-farm embryo transfers a reality for us and our clients. We are excited to be able to offer this service and especially treasure meeting the babies who are born as a result of this process!

Update: We are thrilled to share that so far in 2012, we have successfully produced 8 successful embryo transfer pregnancies out of 9 attempts, far above the industry average!

AJ Thee Luca, Thee Desperado x *HED Caramba by Magnum Psyche

Congratulations to the owners and horses of our bloodlines who had an amazing 2012 Scottsdale show!

The beautiful Egyptian-related colt AJ Thee Luca, owned by Manuel Durini of Ecuador, garnered a 3rd place showing! Luca was shown to his ribbon by trainer Mike Wilson, and he was bred by the world-famous Ajman Stud. Mike tells us that Luca is adored and is already breeding his first mares!

At the same show, Luca’s dam, *HED Caramba, was unanimous Champion in her class, and his sire Thee Desperado was Scottsdale’s Unanimous Supreme Champion Stallion many years ago. What a pedigree this colt has.

JLS Aayns Al Reegis (Scapa by Mishaal HP x LPS Thunderstruck by Thee Infidel)

Unanimous Scottsdale International Gold Junior Champion Colt was the straight Egyptian JLS Aayns Al Reegis, a Mishaal HP & Thee Infidel grandson, who was also Unanimous Egyptian Event Gold Junior Champion Colt! “Reggie” was bred by Beth Witt and is proudly owned by Josh Heath & Coyaba Farms.

2012 Filly, Thee Desperado x Rohara Lady Chall by Magnum Chall HVP

We are delighted to share the baby portrait of this stunning Egyptian-sired filly, bred by Hank and Karen Lavice, the breeders of Magnum Psyche. Their mare Rohara Lady Chall is a Psyche granddaughter, and we are honored that they chose Thee Desperado for this cross. We are all thrilled with the result and Havices will repeat the breeding for a full sibling in 2013!

AJ Thee Luca, Thee Desperado x *HED Caramba by Magnum Psyche, Scottsdale Top Ten Colt

From the world-reknowned breeding program at Ajman Stud in the UAE comes the Egyptian-sired colt AJ Thee Luca, now owned by Manuel Durini of Ecuador, and handled by Mike Wilson. His dam, a unanimous Scottsdale champion mare, is also a Magnum Psyche daughter. What a cross!

As we look back upon another year, we are grateful to remember some of the highlights of our journey with these horses through 2011:

• Capturing some stunning photos of our horses was a joy!
• Judy Sirbasku was chosen to receive the Pyramid Society’s Trustees Award.
• Our own Miss Maggie Mae was the Leading Dam of Champions at the Egyptian Event.
• Our affiliate farms‘ horses won big at the first North American Arabiann World Championships.
• We brought home lots of amateur and open ribbons from the Katy Christmas Classic Show.

International News:

• We exported a fantastic group of Egyptian Arabians to wonderful breeders in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Switzerland, Spain and South Africa.
• Mishaal HP daughter Saniyyah RCA was Silver Champion Mare at Israeli Nationals.
• Bellagio and The Sequel RCA sons won ribbons at Egyptian Nationals.
• Alixir son Duaig Ibn Alixir was Top 5 at Spanish Nationals.
• Mishaal HP daughter Noor Magidaa LDA was Top 5 at the All Nations Cup.
